R S Engineering Awarded Roads Analysis Contract by USFS

R S Engineering, Inc. has been awarded a contract by the USDA Forest Service, Southwestern Region, to perform roads analysis and traffic studies on the National Forest Systems Roads (NFSR). The work is being performed on NFSRs in the Apache-Sitgreaves National Forest in east central Arizona and Lincoln National Forest in south central New Mexico.

The work involves safety studies on approximately 166 miles of NFSRs. The project includes conducting field visits and making recommendations to eliminate and/or mitigate hazards. The objective is to improve the safety for the public traveling on the NFSRs in respect to day and night time visibility, driving in both directions, and use patterns.
